Concerts, live theater, and fine arts events offer outstanding entertainment for residents and visitors to Terrell.
Introduced by the Terrell Alliance for Education and the Arts (TAEA) in 2003, the E! Terrell Series brings renowned artists to the TISD Performing Arts Center stage. Performances include matinees for Terrell students, with age-appropriate lessons about the culture and heritage of the entertainers. Past concerts have presented the New Shanghai Circus, The Young Irelanders, Presidio Brass, The Wonderful Wizard of Songs, Mike Farris & Sarannah Jack. Season ticket holders enjoy free admission to concerts and performances in many other Metroplex and East Texas communities.

NETFAA promotes interest in fine arts with regional arts programs.
Monthly lectures and demonstrations feature some of Texas’ most celebrated artists. The organization supports local artists with opportunities to market their work in local forums and sponsors arts programs for children.
Members offer painting lessons for children. "Paint Outs" allow artists to gather in a scenic location, enjoy a sack lunch picnic, and share techniques.
NETFAA monthly meetings are open to all who are interested in expanding their artistic experience.

The TISD Performing Arts Center provides a venue for both school-related and community events. Musical performances, the E! Terrell Entertainment Series, and Lake Country Jubilee concerts fill the stage with entertainment.

The historic Iris Theatre, located in downtown Terrell houses both a bookstore and a small theatre where the community can enjoy both live plays and classic movies. The venue seats 34 people with the option of adding folding chairs. It is available to rent for your event. We have the ability to show DVD and VHS video, as well as Power Point presentations. The 16 foot movie screen brings classic movies back to 'the big screen' for our patrons on the second and fourth Friday nights of each month (unless a live performance is scheduled). Admission to the movies is free, and Cokes and Popcorn are available.
The neon "Iris" sign is a beacon in downtown reminding us of days gone by. Movies start at 7 p.m., and the front doors are open about 6:40 p.m.

With more than 60,000 volumes; thousands of downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, music and magazines; and a variety of programs;, Husley Public Library offers education and entertainment for all ages.
The weekly Camp Bookworm program introduces preschoolers to the wonders of reading. The Summer Reading Program offers a wide range of activities to children ages 0-17 to combat the "summer slide". Terrific Tuesdays feature entertainers such as magicians, puppeteers, and animal resuce organizations.
The WINGS Adult Education project includes classes in GED certification, adult literacy, and U.S. citizensip instruction. The library also provides adults with historical and artistic exhibits, research assistance, reading recommendations, public access computers, and genealogy resources.

Nova Cinema at Tanger Outlets Center shows first run movies on 5 screens. The theater offers a Summer Kids Series and is available for birthday parties and special/group showings.
