What the Chamber Does for You . . . .
The Chamber of Commerce can put you in touch with people who may become new clients or customers. As a Chamber member, you will expand your new business contacts by attending regularly scheduled activities organized by the Chamber to bring the business community together.
Annual Membership Meeting & Industry Recognition Luncheon -- The Chamber and Terrell EDC host this luncheon annually to recognize industry milestones, review accomplishments of the past year and honor volunteers.
President's Club volunteers recruit new members, welcome new members, assist with Chamber projects and promote the Chamber. Volunteer teams earn points for various activities. The individual and team that accumulates the most points each quarter receive a recognition gift. The "President's Award" recognizes the individual with the highest number of points at the end of the year.
Working with Trinity Valley Community College, new business owners are invited to attend seminars and individual counseling sessions to guide them in thei business endeavors. The Chamber also hosts meetings for the Terrell Small Business Organization, which coordiantes a variety of events throughout the year, including Terrell ArtWalk, Small Business Saturday in November and Christmas in July.
Member businesses are listed by category in our online membership directory. Contact information includes links to members' websites, social media links and e-mail addresses. In addition, each member has an opportunity to submit online promotions that are posted on the website for the general public.
The Chamber website receives more than 2,000 visits each week, giving your business exposure to thousands of potential customers over the course of a year.
The President's Club and staff will welcome you into the chamber with a ribbon cutting ceremony and photo opportunity either at your business or the Chamber office. The Terrell Tribune and the Chamber Spotlight Newsletter publishes your photo with a brief description of your business.
The semi-monthly newsletter provides you with upcoming events listings, new membership announcements, community news, chamber activities and accomplishments.
We make refer to member businesses exclusively through walk-in customers, phone and e-mail requests. Your business information is also included in the membership listing on the Chamber website.
We encourage you to provide the Chamber with your business cards and promotional literature for us to distribute.
Our annual directory provides a Business Referral Guide with listings exclusive to Chamber member businesses. You'll be included in both the alphabetical and categorical sections and will be offered advertising space. The Guide goes to visitors and residents and is available online.
