Benefits of Chamber Membership

What the Chamber Does for You . . . .

The Chamber of Commerce can put you in touch with people who may become new clients or customers. As a Chamber member, you will expand your new business contacts by attending regularly scheduled activities organized by the Chamber to bring the business community together.

  • Mixers -- One of the most popular Chamber programs, quarterly Mixers provide members with an opportunity to exchange business cards, make new contacts and have a lot of fun.
  • New Member Orientation -- Meet your fellow new members, learn about the Chamber and put in a "plug" for your business at these meetings.
  • Board of Director's Luncheon -- The Executive Committee reports on the activities of the Chamber at the lunch meeting beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the third Monday of each month. These meetings are open to the membership.
  • Committee Meetings -- Various committees and numerous projects provide avenues for your ideas and leadership.
  • Annual Membership Meeting & Industry Recognition Luncheon -- The Chamber and Terrell EDC host this luncheon annually to recognize industry milestones and to review the past year and look to future opportunities.

President's Club

President's Club volunteers recruit new members, welcome new members, assist with Chamber projects and generally promote the Chamber. Volunteer teams earn points for various activities. The individual and team that accumulates the most points each quarter receive a recognition gift. The "President's Award" recognizes the individual with the highest number of points at the end of the year.

Small Business Development Center

Working with Trinity Valley Community College, we develop seminars geared toward small businesses. Programs for individual businesses can also be arranged.

Internet Exposure

Member businesses are listed by category in our online membership directory. Contact information includes links to your own website and email address if you have them. In addition, each member has an opportunity to submit online promotions that are posted on the web site for the general public.

The Chamber website receives more than 2000 visits each week, giving your business exposure to thousands of potential customers over the course of a year.

Ribbon Cutting

The President's Club and staff will welcome you into the chamber with a photo opportunity either at your business or the Chamber office. The Terrell Tribune and the Chamber Newsletter publishes your photo with a brief description of your business.

The semi-monthly newsletter provides you with upcoming events listings, new membership announcements, community news, chamber activities and accomplishments.

Business Referrals

We refer to member businesses exclusively through walk-in customers, phone and e-mail requests. Your business information is also included in the membership listing on the Chamber website.

We encourage you to provide the Chamber with your business cards and promotional literature for us to distribute.

Our annual directory provides a Business Referral Guide exclusive to Chamber member businesses. You'll be included in both the alphabetical and categorical sections and will be offered advertising space. The Guide goes to visitors and residents is available online.
