Benefits of Chamber Membership

What the Chamber Does for You . . . .

The Chamber of Commerce can put you in touch with people who may become new clients or customers. As a Chamber member, you will expand your new business contacts by attending regularly scheduled activities organized by the Chamber to bring the business community together.

Business Networking Mixer are quarterly events that brings people together at a chamber member’s location to spotlight that business.  Also provides members with an opportunity to exchange business cards, make new contacts and have a lot of fun.

New Member Orientation offers a time with fellow new members to learn about all the benefits of being a chamber member, including a quick tutorial on tools members can use to promote their business via our website.  Members also can share information about their business with the group. 

Chamber Luncheons are held monthly on the third Monday of the month at 11:30 a.m.   These meetings are open to the membership and provide our executive committee, key community leaders, and members an opportunity to give updates on various projects and activities.  New members also get a chance to introduce themselves.  It is also an excellent venue to make and renew contacts with other professionals. 

Annual Membership Meeting & Industry Recognition Luncheon, hosted by The Chamber and Terrell Economic Development Corporation, recognizes industry milestones and key volunteers from the past year.

 

President's Club the public relations arm of the Chamber, welcoming new members, assisting in Chamber projects, providing ribbon cutting, grand opening and groundbreaking services and support.    Volunteers earn points for participating in various activities. The individual that accumulates the most points each quarter receive a recognition gift. The "President's Award" recognizes the individual with the highest number of points at the end of the year.

Opportunities arise throughout the year to join various Committee Meetings projects, providing avenues for your ideas and leadership.

Small Business Development Center A partnership with the chamber Trinity Valley Community College SBC host seminars focused on small businesses.  Individual counseling sessions also are available to small business owners.   In addition, the chamber hosts monthly meetings for the Terrell Small Business Organization.  The Organization works together on a variety of events throughout the year, including Happy Days in Terrell America - National Mom & Pop, Terrell ArtWalk, Christmas in July and Small Business Saturday in November.

Community Profile & Referral Guide This directory provides a Business Referral Guide exclusive to Chamber member businesses. You will be included in both the alphabetical and categorical sections and will be offered advertising space. The Guide is distributed to visitors and residents is available online.

Internet Exposure to all chamber members through our online membership directory, both by category and by alphabet.  Contact information includes links to members’ websites, social media and email address and phones. In addition, each member has an opportunity to submit online promotions and job posting that are posted on the website for the public.

The Chamber website receives more than 2,000 visits each week, giving your business exposure to thousands of potential customers over the course of a year.

Ribbon Cutting are hosted for all new chamber members.  The President's Club and staff will welcome you into the chamber with a ribbon cutting, membership plaque and photo opportunity either at your business or the Chamber office. The Terrell Tribune and the Chamber Newsletter publishes your photo with a brief description of your business.


The Spotlight is published six times per year providing you with upcoming events listings, new membership announcements, community news, chamber activities and accomplishments.


Business Referrals are exclusive to chamber members with walk-in customers, phone and e-mail requests. Your business information is also included in the membership listing on the Chamber website.

We encourage you to provide the Chamber with your business cards and promotional literature for us to distribute.
